"The aim of Alternative Media Advocacy (AMA) is to raise awareness for Alternative and Citizen Journalism, so that the public are informed that the mainstream media such as BBC News, Sky News, and The Times are not the only sources of information and that there information may be biased or portrayed with a certain objective. The aim of Alternative Media Advocacy (AMA) is to bring awareness to Alternative Journalism like, WeAreChange, Truthout, Demotix so that the public can understand all aspects of a story, with first hand sources and less bias. Alternative Media Advocacy (AMA) sees this as an important cause, especially in this day and age where everything relies on reliable information, because getting the right information is crucial in forming an opinion and creating an effective solution."
